Coordinator, Digital Marketing (Arts and Education)

The marketing team works with stakeholders across the university to deliver integrated marketing campaigns that put Deakin at the forefront.

The role reporting to the Marketing Manager will manage the design, development and delivery of digital marketing initiatives such as multi-channel advertising campaigns and oversee the development of supporting resources including the external website that will help effectively recruit prospective students at Deakin University.

The main tasks include:

  • Act as a coach and work with team members to encourage growth and development by providing balanced, constructive feedback taking into account individual skills and team performance
  • Distill the core topics from complex information, draw accurate conclusions, and condense complex information and next steps into simple, concise terms that others can understand
  • Gather feedback on opportunities for improvement from a variety of key stakeholders and implement change through appropriate channels and overcome barriers to change
  • Actively get feedback from colleagues and stakeholders on things that work well and areas that need improvement
  • Build new and productive relationships with a wide variety of potential students, stakeholders, or important and influential people inside and outside the university
  • Develop and implement practical, accessible solutions based on stakeholder needs
  • Strive for excellence and regularly clarify with customers who needs the information, what purpose it is needed for, success criteria, and where and when advice and recommendation are needed, with a strong service culture
  • Communicate confidently using examples and the most appropriate influencing technique for a given situation to increase understanding and support

To be successful you have:

  • A degree with at least 4 years of subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative areas; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and / or education / training in digital marketing
  • Knowledge of the digital media landscape and the content requirements for each media channel
  • Experience in implementing integrated campaign strategies across the most important digital marketing channels, optimizing and analyzing performance and reporting on campaign effectiveness
  • Experience in developing creative assets via digital and social marketing channels above the line (ATL)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite such as InDesign or Photoshop
  • Knowledge of developing digital advertising campaigns with platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager or Sizmek
  • Knowledge of project management processes for the production of photo and video assets and / or video editing functions
