To complement the new American College of Surgeons website, the ACS has introduced a modernized visual identity system for our brand that reflects the college’s heritage, mission and values in a contemporary, clean style. The new design creates an instantly recognizable and distinctive look and feel for the college while establishing a consistent design style and process for all ACS programs.
The ACS logo is based on three main elements:
- The initials reflecting the traditional Roman capitals used in the 1915 ACS seal
- The Slash Mark that organizes the design and represents the surgeon’s precision
- The full name rendered in modern but timeless sans serif capital letters
The new ACS brand colors – a primary palette of deep blue, vibrant red and cooler grey-blue – were chosen to showcase a classic, contemporary palette that reflects the college’s motto: Heal all with skill and confidence.
ACS logos, marks, and colors may only be used by authorized employees and vendors with approval from the ACS Integrated Communications Department.
